Men, Unleash Your Potential

Box Boxing Match Uppercut Ricardo Domingue

Too many men squander their time in the gym doing curls and other exercises to look pretty while never actually hard their own bodies to be everything that they could be. Boxing is one of the best workouts that can help bring you to that next level.

GET RIPPED

Boxing may be among the best ways to lose body fat and lean out while preserving muscle mass. Research has shown that span style training like boxing is terrific for fat loss and for speeding up your metabolism. Exercise such as conventional aerobic cardio workouts only create an increase in calories burned during the actual exercise which drops off rapidly when you finish your training session. But due to a phenomenon known as EPOC (Excess Post-Exercise Oxygen Consumption) you have a substantial gain in the quantity of calories you burn for hours once you end a boxing workout. Since boxing utilizes your fast twitch muscle fibers to perform quick and powerful punches over and over again it encourages your body to hold onto muscle and also can increase your muscle size that will cause a ripped broad shoulder appearance rather than the skinny look that so many endurance athletes possess. So, if you only have a limited amount of time to get a workout in, try attending an excellent boxing gym near you that will provide you better outcomes for your time then a conventional cardio workout, such as going for a run.

SPEED, POWER, ENDURANCE

Few styles of training can give you the full spectrum of physical improvements that boxing can. ESPN ranked boxing the hardest sport in the world because of all the ingredients that go into preparation. The principal qualities needed to be a excellent boxer are speed, power & endurance. Here are just a couple of ways you gain those qualities through boxing training.

SPEED: Through hitting a bag or performing mitt work you are demanding your muscles to fire faster than you are accustomed to. You have to move your feet fast to get in, out and around a bag or an opponent. In a good boxing workout, a variety of plyometric exercises and other exercises that require your body to move as fast as possible are also mixed in which compels you to new levels of speed production you may have not thought possible.

POWER: Boxing teaches you to use your entire body to produce maximum power in a punch while delivering it correctly, quickly and on balance. The lock and squeeze at the end of a punch is a massive contraction of the muscle fibers in your arms and shoulders that happen in the very minute you first makes contact with your target. That contact puts a tremendous load on your muscles all the way from the chest muscles to the muscles of your spine which must bear the load of hundreds of pounds of force when you land a hard punch. When punches are delivered properly you’ll feel the work that was placed on these muscle groups the next day. ENDURANCE: A great deal of research has been done over the past couple decades about the advantages of high intensity interval training on VO2 max ( a measurement of your body’s ability to use oxygen). Interval training like boxing has been demonstrated to improve VO2 max faster and in shorter workouts compared to steady state cardio. Boxing is great cross training for individuals that play a variety of sports for recreation as it helps tremendously with boosting endurance. At the end of the day, boxing is a much more exciting and time efficient way to get your cardio in than jogging on a treadmill or spending some time on a stationary bike.

FUN & EXCITING

All of us know exercise can be fun, but boxing for exercise can be even more fun! At any time you exercise, you get a release of endorphins that make you feel accomplished and fulfilled after a challenging workout. With boxing, you get the very same feelings, but more. After a challenging boxing workout you’ve got the feeling of accomplishment in addition to progress when you learn new methods.

STRESS RELIEVING

Have you ever gone through a super stressful day and just wished you could have punch something? Energy like that, if held in for a long time, can be damaging to your interactions with people around you and the people closest to you, leaving you easily frustrated and ready to fly off the handle. People who have made Boxing a part of their everyday routine get to let out that frustration all the time! If you spend 30 min to an hour of throwing hundreds of punches as hard and as fast as you can, you better believe you will feel a massive sense of relief. When you train boxing, you’re using that energy of aggression and transferring it into a positive outlet that will not just make you feel great, but look great too!

THE FINAL BELL

I strongly urge you to try out a boxing workout either in a class or private session. To get the most from your workouts you need to visit a quality boxing gym and encounter what boxing is actually all about!

Chicken Coop

Chicken Wire, Netting, Wire Netting

Most of us want to protect our babies, building a predator-proof chicken coop is probably the most important component of protecting them. chicken predators come in all shapes and sizes. The listing can be daunting. Here are a few quick tips to get you started with predator proofing your coop.

Motion sensor lighting is an obvious first option. Nighttime predators such as coyotes fox and owls hunt during the night and are easily spooked just from the light turning on and off. Although this has worked in various situations for many people it is not necessarily the end it solution your looking for. At some point, the predator will be hungry enough to ignore the light or make a mad dash towards the food in hopes they’ll get away with it.

Secure your chickens through the nighttime hours to keep them away from predators. A predator-proof chicken coop has to be powerful enough to keep the local hungry animals out. A determined raccoon will reverse your latches, they are smart creatures too! Using 2 step latches really helps. Bear in mind a raccoon can open the same locks a 2 yr old can. Close up any small holes snakes, rats, rodents or weasels may have the ability to enter through. These guys will eat your eggs and not stop coming back even if they’ve been relocated.

Chicken wire is very thin it’s intended to keep the chickens inside, most animals can easily tear it apart from the outside. Instead, use 1/2 hardware cloth were necessary to keep out small animals like mice and rodents and livestock fencing to keep out the larger predators. Remember that some animals like fox and coyotes can easily dig a couple feet in a couple of minutes. Extending the cloth or cable down into the ground usually prevents them from digging any further than the fence. My experience tells me that predators are lazy and will always go for the easiest food available and leave your chickens alone if they have to work too hard to get it.

A caged roof over the run keeps those pesky climbing and flying predators out. A predator-proof chicken coop can keep overhead threats away like owl, hawks and other birds of prey. Yes, birds of prey can fly away with your chickens. The Orpington Chicken that’s a relatively large breed! In most cases, cheap netting will work unless you are having trouble with animals climbing over the fence and attacking your babies.

To conclude, your location decides what it takes to make a predator-proof chicken coop. Various areas and settings have various predators and dangers. Sometimes an electric fence is necessary especially if your in a place that has bears and bobcats for predators. Not a lot of animals will go any further than the original poke, it shocks them!

Save Money on Beauty Products

The Red Pages Shades Makeup Cosmetics Beau

One look at the makeup aisle and you end up automatically drawn to the mysterious fragrances and vibrant packaging. Before you know it, you are walking out with new products and a hefty bill. We know you love your beauty products and deserve to be pampered. But don’t worry here are a few tips that allow you to be the beauty queen without breaking the bank!

1. Look out for Sales!

Black Friday deals are great, but you can find huge discounts on your favorite brands all year long! Most of the stores have a newsletter where they announce discounts and sales, frequently giving you a unique online discount that is not available in the shop. So visit your favorite beauty store’s sites and sign up for their newsletters.

2. Let your multi-tasking abilities shine

You may not realize it but the majority of your beauty products can serve more than 1 purpose. Scrub your liquid lipstick on cheeks and blend to save money on the blush. Instead of pressed highlighters invest in liquid highlighters, mix a few drops along with your foundation or bb cream for dewy finish when the matte finish is out of style. Get creative and save money. This is the best gift for girls.

3. Proceed to the drugstore

To someone who’s addicted to high-end brands purchasing makeup and skincare at a pharmacy may seem horrible, but the majority of the pharmacy brands are priced at a fraction of the cherished high-end brands and provide products with excellent quality. Avoid investing in high-end products that you have to replace very often like mascaras, eyeliners, and compacts, or products you need a whole lot of variety in like lipsticks.

4.

You can save a ton of money with beauty box subscriptions particularly if you choose the people who offer full sized products instead of samples. Samples boxes can’t provide you with exactly the same value for money as boxes with full sized products can.

5.

Coconut oil can eliminate the stubborn waterproof makeup easily. It’s not just a pocket-friendly option but is also great for your skin, eyebrows, and lashes.

We hope these tips help to give your wallet some TLC and make you look as glamorous as ever without going north of your budget plans. Adding to a wonder subscription box is the way by which you can get all the products in a very small amount. This is ideal for those women who don’t want to use one product for many uses.

Cool Ways Kids Can Enjoy the Beach

Boy Child Fun Beach Sea Colors Children Pl

For the grown-ups, beaches are terrific for sun-bathing, surfing, and swimmingpool, but for children it’s more than that. For kids it’s a different world altogether. On the shores, they have all of the freedom to use their creativity and to improve the spectrum of their thinking. Here, they can dance, sing, play, dive, surf and do a hundreds million activities. Following are some of the exciting activities which you can enjoy with their kids on the beach.

1. Treasure Hunt

When you have sand all around you, hiding things will get even more interesting. This game can be modified in a variety of ways. One of them could be where parents can hide things under the sand and place an identifier in addition to it. They can then ask the children to guess what’s there under each identifier. For example, if they have put a Kids Jewellery Box under the sand they can place a bangle over it. The content at the top will be a hint to what is under the sand.

2. Beach Bowling

Producing the bowling pins out of the sand is going to be the first exciting part of the game, followed by playing a game of bowling with your gang. The re-creation of pins every time will make them even more involved in the game. They could play this game in groups as well, where they could keep rotating the roles of bowling, creating pins etc..

3. Beach Funny Faces

The ideal way to play the sand is to show your creativity. It is possible to draw numerous funny faces on the beach. While creating these faces, kids can play a game where they will speak to one another by making only faces and not speaking. This will encourage them to understand different kinds of human emotions. Who knows? We may get back a totally new set of emoticons invented by these little geniuses.

4. Sun-Dial

This is one of the easiest and simplest activities you can enjoy on a shore. Put the stick in the middle in an upright position and place the pebbles around it equidistant from one another in a circle. While chilling out and enjoying, children will observe and learn how the movement of the sun is associated with our time system.

5. Sponge-Animal

Allow the children understand how a particular object can absorb a lot of water and become heavy. First, they could make the sponge-animals absorb water from the sea and then they can play various throwing and catching games with these sponges. When someone catches the sponge, they will be splashed with water.

6. Balloon Fish

Sitting on the sea-shore, one can easily find a couple of fishes closer to shore. Parents can show kids some fishes in the sea, and can ask the children to draw the faces of the fishes which they saw near the shore on the balloons. They can then fill balloons with water and will be delighted to find the inflating of the balloon. This will make them understand how things inflate in real world.

7.

This game is played with more than 1 player. The more people, the more interesting this game will get. The main idea behind this game is to pass the water in 1 player’s glass, to the glass of the person who is standing right behind him. They can make themselves stand at all. They can either stand one after another in a straight queue or they can even form a circle.

8.

The aim will be to save the balloons from bursting.

9. Hide and Seek Castles

First, the kids are going to need to prepare several castles from sand and will need to name them individually. After the game will proceed, one of the kids will develop into the finder and rest all will try to hide behind the castle. The Finder will then guess who is behind each castle.

10.

The beach can be treated as a large notebook for beginners who have just started learning the alphabet, and numbers. We can help them understand the shapes of letters and numbers by making them draw the figures on the beach. The moment the sea will erase these drawings, it will be fun for children to re-draw themand this will allow them to practice.

11. Beach-Tents

Kids can prepare a tiny beach-tent out of their bed-sheet, sticks, and some medium-sized pebbles. Sleeping in tents in jungles has always been enjoyable for individuals in any age group, but one can’t take kids into jungle. To make the kids feel like they’re in the jungle, parents can decorate their tents in hut-like fashion, and place some bushes around the tent.

12. Tug-O-War

One of the favorite games for all age groups, this can be played by using a simple item, like rope, and involves a lot of teamwork. The kids will learn how to make strategies to overcome their opponents. Though this game symbolizes strength, good strategies will usually prevail. Parents can include themselves in this activity to keep the game moving, since most of the time, kids won’t be able to live in this sport for more than few seconds.

13. Shell-Search

The youthful Sherlock-Holmes can get hands-on expertise trying to find different sorts of shells. The person who gets the most shells will be the winner.

14. Music

Here, parents can help their children identify the rhythm and sound of sea-waves, and how they relate to the noises that musical instruments make. However, this action will require quietness and an isolated beach, but the effort to find one will definitely pay-off.

15. Mom’s Bucket

This game can be taken as a war between the mothers who have brought their children to the shore. The moms need to hold the buckets 10-15 meters from the shore, and the children are going to bring water from the coast to fill the bucket. Whoever fills it up first will be the winner. Here, one can utilize the time of the waves to decrease the distance travelled to fill up the bucket quickly.

Money-Saving Tips For Your Garden

Blue Pillow Garden Plant Purple Pink Cross

If you will need to update your existing garden furniture or are planning to purchase a few for next year, here are some great ways you can save some cash while also adding furniture to your porch or patio this summer.

Purchase Garden Basics Out Of Season

Garden furniture is a seasonal business and so buying out of season will usually see lower costs. Buy garden furniture, BBQ’s and grills toward the end of the summer months to save a whole lot of money. Most retailers offer end of season rebates, so by holding off on these enormous purchases, you can grab yourself a fantastic deal.

Dig out your wide-covering and expansive perennials and separate them from the roots using a spade or fork – doing so will provide you with a few small plants which you would then be able to give to friends or move to a different bit of the garden. Reusing and changing the plants you already have, rather than buying new things will save you a lot of money in the long term.

Put Your Money Into Best Buy Items

The consumer site’Which?’ Tests a range of garden items for you, to make certain you could spend your money on the right things. However, you do not need to just listen to online reviews and you do not just have to spend loads of money to get decent items. Lawnmowers can range wildly in price: on Amazon, for instance, you can find one for #50 or one for #900, however, the #50 still has over 4.5 stars out of 5 from over 400 reviews.

Develop From Seed

Planting seeds rather than buying more develop plants will save up loads of cash. Often times, a bag of seeds will contain more than if needed, so why not share them, with a friend or loved one that also enjoys horticulture? A bag of 10,000 Poppy Seeds, for example could cost you less than #2.00, whereas a pair of three fully-grown Poppy plants can be as much as #20. You don’t need to be a math whizz to see the advantages.

Reuse Your Left Over Fertilizer

Reusing last year’s will not be a terrible plan, but it certainly will not be the 100% most effective way of helping your plants. Certainly not! Simply cut it with a newer bag and use that to get great results without wasting last year’s fertiliser. That is, of course, unless it is a moist fertiliser or has been subjected to the wet. In which case it will have adverse impacts and you should just throw it on your compost pile instead.

To switch up your backyard decor, you don’t need to buy a totally new garden furniture set. Rather, check whether you are able to work with everything you have and maybe update it. If your backyard set is made out of metal, you can buy shower paint, mainly meant for outdoor furniture, to revitalise the appearance. In case you have porch furniture that is made out of wood, you can recolour it an alternate shading to give it a different appearance.

Another excellent method to give your garden furniture another life is by buying new cushions and pads to your porch furniture. It is a great deal less expensive to update just your porch cushions and pillows than it is to get an altogether new set.

Shop At The End Of Summer

Finally, and admittedly much like buying out of season, be sure to shop just at the close of summer, when stores know the garden furniture will have a sharp decrease in purchases. The prices will fall too, as the stores attempt to eliminate their extra inventory and make way for the winter collection., allowing you to swoop in a catch some great deals.

Natural Remedies Revealed!

Obesity Fat Nutritionist City People Metro

Your normal weight is dependent upon three factors: height, age and skeletal structure. Naturally the weight of the person should alter through the several stages of life. And, quite as obviously, the amount and kind of food needed to maintain the correct weight will also change, dependent upon the person’s occupation and overall activity.

To say that overweight is caused by overeating is like saying that a fire is the result of a match. What led to the overeating? Overeating isn’t a cause but rather a outcome. Have you noticed how your eating habits change when you are occupied and when you are not occupied: when you are lonely and when you are not; when you’re tense and when you’re relaxed? The busy, satisfied and relaxed people of the world are rarely overweight. The idle, nervous and lonely people frequently are.

When you are not occupied and feel you need to be, you eat to excuse your idleness. (“I’ll do it after dinner – once I have a sandwich – as soon as I’m through eating – you must eat, you know.”)

When you are lonely, you eat to replace the satisfaction of friendship. When you’re nervous, you eat to overlook the cause of the tension or despair. Here again is evidence of the inseparability of body and mind.

The unfortunate outcome of unhappiness is not only overeating, but consuming useless, fattening foods. The act of replacing some need of soul or mind with body food is a kind of blackmail. Naturally this ransom must be a luxurious one. That’s the reason the unhappy people of the world dote on chocolates, ice-cream, rich cakes and so on. And here a ridiculous contradiction often takes place. The unhappy soul stuffs him or herself with appetite-murderers and frequently neglects the essential foods for health. Thus, contradictory as it might appear, lots of people are a stone and a half and two stone overweight and yet anaemic, undernourished, suffering the ravages of malnutrition!

I have long realized the truth from the words”Happiness is medication.” You must come to understand this also, for it is an undeniable law of nature.

The underweight people of earth are also”often products of a psychological rather than a physical illness. You’ve seen the”drivers” of our world, those who throw themselves into their work without a thought for their well-being. They are often the victims of this”success philosophy,” believing that only power and wealth bring happiness. They drive themselves and their fellow workers to the summit of production and creativity, but they generally need to be driven to the table to eat. What they eat does them little good, going through their bodies such as mercury as they split back into their dedicated labour. The guy who thinks that life is all work and the one who thinks it play usually both lands on the scrap-heap years before their time.

I will not be foolish enough to claim that underweight and overweight are only the result of a mind without peace; but I will maintain that misery, nervousness, grief and disdain for fellow humans, one or all these, are the cause of, or a major contributing element to underweight and overweight conditions and to a lot of the physical ills of the world.

In dieting to gain or lose weight, two risks must be avoided. The underweight individual must avoid increasing his intake of calories while ignoring the basic food requirements and the obese must beware of haphazardly decreasing his food consumption, thus depriving the body of minimal energy, bone, bone and nerve nutrients. The basic diet for everybody should contain some organically grown foods and a complete share of all of the vitamins and minerals required to maintain a healthy body and mind. Above all, beware of the fad diets which guarantee to build you up or tear you down in twenty five hours. These”Seven Days to Health” and”Ten Days to Beauty” programmes are a fraud, at best, and a hazard to your very life, at worst.

There’s absolutely no overnight diet to total wellness. More precisely, there’s absolutely no diet to total wellness. The road to health doesn’t begin with your stomach alone, or your skin or your toes or mind, but with all of them and more. The road to health is that which we pave with a life lived in full harmony with nature.

“A Complete Guide To Healthy Eating,” a post in my online health journal outlines several food programmes that, when added to a life in complete harmony with nature, will help to give you the sparkling health that should be yours. There you will find food programs designed for the underweight, overweight, in addition to others. These were carefully prepared with the purpose of providing the healthiest, tastiest and most natural food programme for each individual’s needs.

There are countless hits on the online search drive for Wellness – from mental to physical health, cardiac fitness, cancer, yoga, the way to overcome certain ailments like diabetes, hypertension, obesity, stoke, and tips on weight loss and how to grow taller, together with many other ideas becoming honorable mention. It takes quite a bit of investigating to find any 1 site which has so much to offer on all these fronts, let alone one that can combine all of the needs for your innermost wellness – joy, bliss and outside. For health’ sake you can stop looking out there, and take time for yourself, a sort of one-stop-shop: BalancedLifestyleWikipedia.

If It Wasn’t for Bad Luck

Spirit Blue Heart Pain Mourning Lovesickne

I am not the sort of person that dabbles in luck. [Knock on wood] When something looks like a good gamble to me, I run from it as fast as I can. If it appears too good to be true, believe me, it probably isn’t correct.

Luck hasn’t been a friend of mine. The only luck I’ve ever had in life is when I tricked a young woman into saying,”I do.” That was 47 years ago and I have never had a luckier moment since. Every year I appreciate that lucky moment more.

Aside from that, I’m not on the lucky side of the road.

It is not that I would not appreciate a blessed moment every now and again. It’s just that I am not the lucky kind of a person that gets that kind of thing.

My father taught me that life is not built on fortune, but rather on hard work. Then he would send me to the backyard to do the mowing. Looking back on that circumstance, I think he was pretty lucky I did not know what he was talking about and went and mowed the grass for him.

I tried this in my son once and he came back and said,”Dad, the mower is broken I can not get it started.” Lucky for him.

I do not know why people are so interested in fortune. Whenever I visit a convenience store, there is a long line behind the lottery ticket counter buying their ticket to the week.

1 time I stood back and watched people buy their lottery ticket and everyone’s impression was that they believed that it was their lucky day and this was their lucky number.

I stopped one person and asked,”Do you buy lottery tickets often?”

He then chuckled as he showed me his latest lottery ticket.

He looked at me and his smile evaporated and he mumbled,”Never.”

As I thought about that, I started to realize how lucky the lottery was that there were so many people that did not have any chance whatsoever except bad luck.

I begin to figure how much it would cost a year to buy lottery tickets weekly. It was rather an remarkable amount and I began to think how much bad luck really cost people.

It is lucky for me that I do not play the lottery because all I’d experience is bad luck.

A young friend of mine was telling me that he had no chance in the relationship compartment of his life. “All I have,” he complained, “is bad luck when it comes to dating.”

Then he explained he was going to try his luck at one of those online dating programs. I am totally unfamiliar with that sort of thing, but he explained that it might be his lucky day if he just went in that direction. “Who knows,” he smiled, “I just might get lucky.”

Six months later, I saw him at the mall and ask him how his fortune was with the online dating service.

I thought about this for a minute. Which is worse bad luck; the lottery or the online dating service?

Although I’m not an expert along this line, I think the greatest bad luck would be in the lottery.

As I processed these things, it occurred to me that I have been a rather lucky dude, in my own time.

I had been thinking of all the money I saved from not playing the lottery. That brought a grin to my face. Not losing money is quite a blessed thing as far as I am concerned. I love to think of myself as fairly fugal when it comes to money.

Another thing my father said,”A penny saved is a penny earned.” I think I understand where he got that saying. But when looking at it, it’s very lucky to save a penny. Each time I go past the lottery window in the convenience store, I count my lucky stars that I am not having bad luck today.

My friend had no chance at the online dating service. I, on the contrary, had all the luck in the world when the Gracious Mistress of the Parsonage said to me,”I do.” I do not know anybody luckier than me in this respect.

Now, I don’t want this to return to her, I’m hoping you will keep my little secret, but every day of my life I’m blessed to have her in my life.

I must confess that I don’t believe she’s as lucky as I am. After all, I do have a mirror in the bathroom. But I am lucky that she does not take me to task with that one.

Thinking about this I recalled what David said in one of his Psalms. “For thou hast made him most blessed for ever: thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance” (Psalm 21:6).

Thinking about this a bit more, I don’t consider myself lucky. I consider myself to be blessed beyond words.

Grief So Silent, As If Loss Never Took Place

Alone, Sad, Depression, Loneliness

Statistics indicate that covers a large percentage of the population.

Please, there’s no need to self-identify, because most who have suffered many things but do not feel free to share what they feel they have not completely dealt with.

The issue here is much of grief cannot easily be spoken about. It leaves the common person feeling uncomfortable, besides the fact that the grieving person doesn’t want to expose themselves emotionally unnecessarily. It is easier in many ways to deny what is clearly clear; to keep moving forward.

But without dealing with the past,

The future can often remain clouded by it.

Another matter can be raised:

The initial loss event isn’t always

The most traumatic part of despair.

I know so many people who weren’t so much traumatised by their first loss experience, but were actually traumatised more by how they were dealt with, whether it be the clich├ęd remarks from people who should know better, or from a response or lack of response from people they’d come to trust.

Sometimes it’s the stress within the family environment that causes the household to implode. Things said in the heat of the moment, or maybe something well intended but poorly communicated. Tenuous relationships become fractured because smaller more tolerable conflicts that occurred previously, but were not dealt with, reveal pre-existing cracks within the relationship. Relational breakage occurs.

Whether it be the internal conflict

Of not being able to reconcile the reduction,

Or external conflicts because of misunderstandings,

And often a combination of these.

Add to this, battle we can have with God –

That He could’allow’ something like this happen!

There’s a silence in grief that’s deafening in its harrowing quietude. So many individuals suffer in silence. So many people can’t get the healing that they could do with. And so many households continue on this winding road of malfunction because truths of reality cannot be spoken of as truths of experience.

Somehow there’s grief, and quite a lot of it, that cannot be discussed or processed or expressed. Sometimes people would engage in counseling, but are put off by the cost, whether it be financial or emotional or time or other.

My wife and I are presently preparing to present at a Silent Grief convention where the focus is on exactly this topic: the despair that’s not generally spoken about. The grief we’re expected to proceed from. The kind of grief that does not rate much of a mention because it’s so comparatively common, or worse, since there’s deep shame attached to it.

It’s precious in our view

That we have had the experience

of losing Nathanael.

We never needed to lose him,

but…

We genuinely saw God moves in many, many ways, not least by the prayers of the faithful, and also the testimony of our faith at the moment, even as we witnessed it .

We found that God used Nathanael’s life,

While he never breathed outside the womb.

And yet, just like possible, I feel guilty for speaking about it too much, even though that has not stopped me. I know some folks will be thinking that.

But There’s no overriding drive in me to think for the needs of this woman and man who need space for their voice; people who want to be heard; or just those who need to be acknowledged:

We wish to say, your grief matters.

That it is incredibly significant.

That you are allowed to feel gutted,

even years or decades on.

And, that you are allowed to feel recovered.

We never ought to suffer in silence, but inevitably we do, since this world thrives on success stories and does not seem to enjoy stories with a bad ending. There is an exception to this, of course, once the bad ending can be redeemed. And that is why grief needs to be a topic we can speak about, because processing our despair is the best way to redeem what God has for us because we have suffered.

There are no wrong or right ways for managing the truth in our grief.

The grieving person needs to hear that it is normal to grieve, just as it is normal for the sting of loss can never fully diminish, and that it takes courage to get open emotionally.

They must also hear that there is hope beyond the intensity and immensity of despair; that reduction is an integral part of the growth process.

Grief so silent,

As if we don’t care,

Make room to share.

Grief so bold,

as to give it a voice,

Shows God’s grace,

That gives us a choice.
